Being June, I have succumbed, as I do every year, to the lurgy de jour. The doctor has just visited and given me my orders. I am about to turn off the light and go to sleep. I’ll post properly when I have my faculties.

Pingback: You can’t stop the musical challenge | Bun-toting Librarian
The carnival is over by The Seekers
I had to pop in to win one last Musical Challenge with my favourite song from 1966, “The Carnival is Over”. You actually touched a really nice chord with this one as we are having our 50 year anniversary of our Grade 7 Class of 1966 and I am hoping we can play this at the end, as I think they might have done at the end of our Grade 7 Farewell Dance all those years ago. Still brings a little lump to the throat. Thank you.
You got it right but Rachel beat you by 7 minutes! It’s a beautiful song, isn’t it? I always cry when I hear it. I have no special story to go with it but I find it moving nonetheless.
