The third day of Christmas has given me ADVENTURE.
Ok, so “adventure” might be a bit of a stretch. We took a trip to the city. That’s a bit of a treat for us. We don’t live in Brisbane so the trip requires a little bit of planning and forethought. Not much but some.
There was a particular book that we wanted and it’s only available at one store. Sure, we could’ve bought it online but then we’d be deprived of the opportunity to look at the other things this shop sells…which are many and varied. Going to the city also meant we could look at the special Christmas display in the Myer window.
I remember a childhood treat was our annual trip to the city. It typically coincided with my parents’ wedding anniversary which was in early January. The city was still decked out in Christmas finery and it was a sight to behold.
Unfortunately, that one shop we’d specifically gone to town to visit was closed but the day was special nonetheless. We spent it together as a family and that made the adventure wonderful.
